The AUDREY HEPBURN in me

When we think of Audrey Hepburn, we think of elegance and class. She is a style icon that until now, many people still look up to in the world of fashion. She introduced the "little black dress" to us in her movies and now, it is one of the most essential pieces of clothing that a woman should have.
A few months ago, my friend gave me this Gap black dress. When I first saw it, I was kinda hesitant because I didn't know if the dress would fit me or if it would look good on me. Since, it's free, I just took it it is a "little black dress" anyway, hahaha! When I tried it on, the first thing that came into my mind was Audrey Hepburn!!! Then, I also noticed the pretty flower detail at the bottom, can you see? Cute, right? And this is size 2! SIZE 2!!!!!! Mowwwdeelll?!! LOL

In Audrey Hepburn's movies, she used pearls for her accessories. However, I read on the internet that she preferred simple sets of studs. My stylist (my brother) chose black and gold accessories over the pearl to give a different feel to it.
I paired the dress with these blue/purple/black heels to give a pop of color to the outfit. My nail polish also went with the colors of the heels, haha!
There are so many fashion styles now, but Audrey Hepburn's is timeless. As her son, Sean Hepburn Ferrer explained, his mother's style was "the extension of an inner beauty reinforced by a life of discipline, respect for the other, and hope in humanity."[1] It is a style from within, so I can say that we all have that Audrey Hepburn inside us. What do you think?

Lee Min Ho in Manila, AGAIN!

Lee Min Ho is undeniably one of the most popular Korean stars in Asia. His acting career began in 2005 with small roles in several dramas, but his first big career break came when he took the lead role as Gu Jun Pyo in Boys Over Flowers. He also starred in other hit dramas, like “Personal Taste”, the action drama City Hunter and the fusion fantasy-historical-medical drama "Faith". He is also one of BENCH clothing's international endorsers. He was in Manila last November 2012 for the Benchsetter Fun Meet.

Due to high demand from Lee Min Ho's fans, the actor released an album, titled "My Everything" last May 24th. And that's not all, he's on his first-ever concert tour. Here's the good news for us, his Filipino fans, he is coming back and will be bringing his concert tour to Manila, My Everything – World Tour 2013 on Saturday, July 6 at the Mall of Asia Arena. Royal Blue

Bloggers United is an event wherein you should dress up, not just because you will take #OOTD shots haha, but because you will meet your favorite fashion bloggers. You should show them how you got inspired by reading their blogs, right? Plus, you will be taking pictures with them, so you don't want to look like you just got out of bed hahaha! So, here's what I wore at BU5.
Since, I knew I would be going around looking for some stuff to buy and for my fave bloggers, I wore something comfortable. I wore my blue and silver flats that I bought at a tiangge in Guadalupe, so it would be easy for me to walk around, jump or run if I needed to. Who knows, right? and I think I actually did, hahaha!
Skater skirts are so in these days, that's why I really want to have one. Thanks to my brother, I got myself a royal blue skater skirt. He got this from his good friend's online shop, called Eye Candies. I love this skirt, 'coz it's fun and very stylish. Twirl, haha!
I paired it with this light yellow printed top I bought from La Feria De Agosto Bazaar to add more color and fun to the outfit. I also chose a printed top, so it wouldn't be so plain.
An outfit won't be complete without accessories. This was my arm party that day. The dark pink mallow, black beaded and skull bracelets are from Simone's Closet. Then, the peace and star bracelets are the ones I bought from one of the booths, I forgot whose booth though. :( By the way, the black and gold watch that I'm wearing is the one I bought from Ana Gonzales' booth. Hahaha I wore all of them already!
Everyone looked good during the event. For sure, they all prepared for it just like me, hahaha! I'm really excited for the next installment! It was so successful and I'm sure the next will be as amazing as this one or more. Stoked! Till the next BU!

Bloggers United V

What is the perfect reason to blog again? Bloggers United V! I know, it's been ages since my last post haha! I got lazy and lost the inspiration to blog. However, when I've finally got to attend this amazing event, the blogger in me suddenly got so hyped up haha
Bloggers United is a biannual event wherein Manila's top fashion bloggers open their closets for a big bazaar. It is also a great way for them to meet and interact with their lovely readers. And for the readers, it's an intense shopping experience and an amazing opportunity to meet their favorite fashion bloggers and interact with them.
Last Saturday, June 1st was the 5th installment of the said event. It was held at the event's biggest venue yet, the SMX Convention Center (Function Room 3). The doors opened at 10am, but the excited shoppers and readers came as early as 9am just to get the best pieces from their favorite bloggers. Since, my priority was meeting my favorite bloggers (not shopping), I went to the venue at around 1:30pm already, but look.....
This is the scene outside the venue for the whole day. A lot of people came to the event and it's the biggest so far, jam-packed it was!!Thanks to Ms. Ana Gonzales of The Fashionista Commuter, I didn't need to stand in line because of the free pass I got from her. Actually, I've won free passes for the past three BUs, but I was only able to go this June, finally! By the way, I was with my friend Jhoana during the event, and my blogger bestie Hazel and her bf Khen came at around 4pm. My officemate/gummy, Paula was also there with her bf, Steve.
SMX Convention Center, Function Room 3
The crazy shoppers :)
Now, let me show you the reason why I attended this event. Yes, it was a shopping event, but as I've said, it wasn't my priority to shop. Meeting my favorite fashion bloggers/inspirations was on top of my list.

First, here are the organizers of the event: the bubbly and super friendly Aisa Ipac of Drowning Equilibriums and the very nice and approachable Ana Gonzales of The Fashionista Commuter. They were so makulet, asking if they look good in the picture, I'm sorry but the picture is a bit blurry. :( Kudos to the two of them and the rest of the team for the most successful installment of Bloggers United.
Next is the super sweet blogger couple, Mikyle Quizon of Style Division and Dani Barretto of Style is Eternal. They were both so welcoming and really down to earth. They are such a good looking couple. Dani is very pretty in person, a true Barretto beauty. :)
Who wouldn't love the Enciso sisters? Vern and Verniece of  V♥V  are like Barbie dolls, so pretty and fab.
Arnie Villanueva of Raid my Closet was the one who welcomed and stamped me at the entrance. I was a bit stunned, when I saw her. She's so pretty in person and also very kind. :)
Look at those abs, haha! Alyssa Lapid (alyssalapid.com) rocked her outfit with her tiny waist, so jealous! I love her outfit! ^^
Blogger Sarah Tirona of Fashion Eggplant was silently sitting, when I came to her booth. But when I said hi and asked for a picture, she excitedly stood up and struck a pose with me. So cute and friendly! :)
When I was going around with my friend, I saw this good looking guy, then I realized it's Paul Chuapoco of The PR Guy, haha! He was with Bjorn Bedayo of Bjorn Manila. They were both very approachable and stylish, my brother will definitely go for that coat. :)
Oh my! I don't even know where to start, haha OA! I just started reading Seph Cham's blog, JosephCham.com recently and I was so happy when I saw him last Saturday. He's my new blogger crush, but I still love you David Guison!
Here are three bloggers that I also admire. Tracy Ayson (tracyayson.com), Cheyster Pedregosa and Tin Iglesias of Fashion Ate the World. I went to Tracy's booth and found the three of them there sitting. I saw a black lace peplum top, and asked Tracy the price then she said, "Push mo na yan girl!" Tin supported her, so I decided to buy the top, haha! Nakakatuwa sila! Since, they were resting, I just asked to take their picture and they all willingly agreed.
Here's my picture with one of my favorite fashion bloggers, Cheyser Pedregosa of The Walking Recessionista. I've been following her for almost two years now and it all started in Lookbook.nu. I love her style and I also won some accessories from one of her giveaways. :)

There were also celebrity bloggers that participated at the event. One of them was Nicole Andersson (nicoleandersson). She is so beautiful and also very nice. I'm so happy I met her and had a short conversation with her, haha! Well, she just asked me if I saw Laureen Uy, hahaha
Another celebrity blogger was Mother Divine Lee (DivineLee), that's what people call her. She's tall, sexy, gorgeous and beautiful ---dyosa! Hahaha! Plus, her personality is great! She's so funny, but you won't expect it from someone as gorgeous as she is.
Beauty queen, actress, TV host and model, Maggie Wilson of Haute Affair was also there. All I can say is, she is damn beautiful! I think she had the simplest outfit during the event, but look how fabulous she is. Simplicity is beauty, they say.
Another favorite of mine is the morena beauty,  Lissa Kahayon of Scene Stealer. She's also very pretty and very kind. When I went to her booth, she was busy entertaining shoppers, putting items inside plastic bags and giving them their change. Her dress was lovely too. I was looking forward having a picture with her and my blogger crush David Guison (davidguison.com--her bf, but I didn't have the chance. :(
Now, here's my top 3 favorite fashion bloggers and stylepiration. ^^

Laureen Uy of Break My Style. She has always been my favorite. Her style and personality are both great. I admire her fashion combinations, because she's not afraid to try something new, unexpected or far from the usual. Her color combinations and print on print outfits are dashing. She is also very friendly and she loves her readers very much.
Kryz Uy of Thirstythought. She was the first blogger I got to meet last Saturday. She was nice and very pretty. I think she has one of the prettiest faces in the blogger community. Her style is something that any girl would want to wear; sassy, lovely and very fashionable. One more thing that I really like about her is, she's a dancer.
And last but certainly not the least, Camille Co of Camille Tries To Blog. She is my top favorite blogger of all time, hahaha! This tall, pretty and very talented lady is for me, the number 1 fashion blogger in the country. I love her style! It is girly, but has uniqueness in it. It is striking but not over-the-top. Her love for black and gold combination, that shows elegance and glamour is one of the things I also love about her. Moreover, she's not just a blogger, but also a very talented fashion designer. Her personality is also amazing! She's funny, very friendly and really kind. There are just so many things to love about her. I'm so happy I got to meet her and excited to see her again!
They are the bloggers I was able to meet last Saturday. I'm excited to see them again on the next installment of Bloggers United.  David Guison and Patricia Prieto of Paradigma--one of my favorites too, are the bloggers I'm excited to meet at BU6.

It was an amazing experience for me! Attending the event for the first time and it was such a success, how great is that?! But, it wouldn't be as fun and exciting as it was, if I wasn't with these people.

My beb and blogger bestie, Hazel ^^
Khen and Jhoana ^^
Thank you my friends for fangirling with me and for tirelessly taking my pictures with the bloggers. Thanks for that Saturdate Let's go for #BU6!!!
